The Giving Bookshelf is back in action

Covid-19 could not stop us!!!

The 2020 Covid19 pandemic forced Daycare centers to close down. After about 18 months we were able to drop off a few bookshelves full of books and leave books for children to take home once they returned into the centers.
WHAT IS A LEGACY ~ A LEGACY IS PLANTING SEEDS IN A GARDEN YOU WILL NEVER SEE.

The Giving Bookshelf Girl Scout Patch

Girl Scouts can help The Giving Bookshelf by conducting a book drive sorting and labeling books, building bookshelves, distributing books and so much more.

The Giving Bookshelf Patch

Our Bookshelf Building event at Rita’s in Edison NJ was a success.  After 5 hours and a lot of Italian Ice we built 5 complete bookshelves, 4 frames and collected over 1000 books.

Thank you to the The Little Souls Inc. organization and partnership.  The Giving Bookshelf collected books and donations. Give a book to Plant a Seed.

Our first event took place at my old daycare, The Bookhouse! I was so happy to give back to the place that sparked my love for reading!

Visiting the Step One Academy Day Care Center.  They were thrilled to have new books and 2 bookshelves.
